Buying British means more than just buying locally, but it is the support of our ever-growing and strengthening British manufacturing community.

What Does It Mean To Buy British?

Buying British means more than just buying locally, but it is the support of our ever-growing and strengthening British manufacturing community. It goes without saying that when buying and importing from overseas, the prices are likely to be lower. However, what is the real price that you’re paying by saving on that order?

The one decider for us? Quality Assured! When buying British there is a guaranteed standard of quality. Importing parts and products from overseas can have a highly negative effect on the quality of your fleet and your overall reputation. Ensuring quality is not the only thing you get from buying British. Here are some more amazing reasons to buy British:

Quality, Made to Last, Products:

When you buy British, you are buying a skillfully made product that has been built to stand the test of time. This guaranteed quality unfortunately comes at a cost, typically international imports are usually more cost effective. However, the extra level of quality you receive by buying British is something that can’t be met by buying overseas. It is also possible that while you may be making an initial saving, you run the risk of having constant replacement costs, saving more money in the long run. It is also possible that while you may be making an initial saving, you run the risk of having constant replacement costs, saving more money in the long run.

Grow Our UK Manufacturing Industry and Economy:

Not only are you buying quality products, but you are growing our economy and supporting our ever-growing UK manufacturing industry. As time goes on, we as a nation are becoming able to source more locally and develop our nations skills, securing the future for our economy. By UK companies supporting each other, we can once again become a more self-sufficient manufacturing nation.

A Clear Conscience:

As it is already well known, the working conditions in many countries can be of a low standard and it can’t be ensured that the products are coming from a safe working place with honest pay. By buying British there is an assurance that the products you will receive will be made fairly and gives the peace of mind in knowing you aren’t supporting slave labour or employee mistreating.

Lowering Carbon Footprint:

Now more than ever, there is a call for everyone to make more environmentally conscious decisions to help save our planet, so why not keep that in consideration in your business operations? By buying British, not only are you saving on the delivery times because it doesn’t need to travel across oceans and pass-through customs, but you’re ultimately saving the environment by lowering the demand and requirement for international transporting. Of course, one order won’t change the world, but if all businesses and individuals make the conscious effort to change slightly, the difference will have a positive impact over time.

The Government Believes in Us Too!

Buying British is supporting a skillful and innovating manufacturing industry, however, we can all use a little bit of help sometimes. To further support the argument for why British Made is Best, the UK Government provides grants for businesses that devote time and resources to Research and Development into certain processes. The research into these areas is in the need to improve this process by making the product lighter, and the speed of the process increase. This level of devotion to innovating our current processes is just another reason why to Buy British!

Made in Britain:

As Made in Britain members we are part of a united community in the UK manufacturing Industry. We are proud to represent and be recognised as UK Manufacturers and we encourage all others that are not yet members, to join this amazing community.

We are proud to represent just a small cog in the UK Manufacturing Machine and we are proud to be British! Let’s bring it all back home again.
